'We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hands.'

It all began with one, age-old question: What would you say if you knew you were going to die and had a chance to sum up everything that was most important to you?
The lecture was so uplifting, so funny, so inspirational that it went viral. So far, 10 million people have downloaded it.
And thousands have written in to say that his lecture changed their lives.
If you had only six months to live, what would you do? How would you live your life? And how can all of us take heart from Pausch's inspiring message to live each day to its fullest?

“But we don’t beat the Reaper by living longer. We beat the Reaper by living well,” said Dr. Pausch, who urged the graduates to find and pursue their passion. He put an exclamation point at the end of his remarks by kissing his wife, Jai, and carrying her off stage.

  1. Hi Judit,
I was very inspired by his last lecture, read his book and even cited him in Tsad Kadima's intrnational conference in 2007. The phrase which hooked me . was: "A brick wall is not there to stop you, it's there to test how much you want something"
    Isn't that so true ?

  2. Hi Rony,
Thank you for visiting. Yes it is very true. He remembered who he really was… an eternal being in human form.
When we really remember that, brick walls become only checkpoints of reference for measurement of true desires.
